Stop. Just stop.

Swords and Scabbards

I frequently come across comments on news articles that go something like this:

Commenter 1: The Bible clearly says that homosexuality is wrong.

Commenter 2: (In response to Commenter 1) But you eat shellfish don’t you?!?! You hypocrrrrrriiiiiitttttteeeee!!!!!

For the pathetically uninformed who try to pass this off as a legitimate argument (and no doubt consider themselves intellectually superior for pulling it out), let me explain why you’re wrong.

Jerusalem Building Could Be the Site of One of the Biggest Events in Jesus’ Life

JERUSALEM — It started 15 years ago with plans to expand the Tower of David Museum. But the story took a strange turn when archaeologists started peeling away layers under the floor in an old abandoned building adjacent to the museum in Jerusalem’s Old City.

They knew it had been used as a prison when the Ottoman Turks and then the British ruled these parts. But, as they carefully dug down, they eventually uncovered something extraordinary: the suspected remains of the palace where one of the more famous scenes of the New Testament may have taken place — the trial of Jesus.

Terrorism and the Missing Southeast Asia Flights

By Douglas V. Gibbs  December 31, 2014

This article is simply the offspring of observation, and speculation regarding those observations.

The AirAsia flight that recently vanished, without a word, was being flown by Captain Iriyanto, a devout and active Muslim (and his co-pilot was a Muslim-French National).  The pilot of the Malaysian flight that vanished without a word was also a devout Muslim, as was his co-pilot.

Both were experienced flyers, and experts found it to be conceivable that they could have avoided the tragedies that befell them and the dead passengers under their care.  Experts found it inconceivable that communications simply went dark, and they simply lost touch with the flights and then had to search for the flights for an extended period of time before discovering the fateful ends of the AirAsia flight, and never discovering the wreckage of the Malaysia flight.

Was the disappearance of these flights, and the nose dive of the first flight into the ocean, and the disappearance of the second, just a tragedy, or do they have anything in common with the flights that nose dived into twin towers, a Pennsylvania field, and the Pentagon, on September 11, 2001?  When the first flight hit the World Trade Center we exclaimed, “What an awful accident!”  When the second plane hit, and we saw the images, we exclaimed, “This was done on purpose!”  When the first plane from the Indonesian region vanished under dubious circumstances, we cried out how unfortunate of an accident it was (well, some of us suspected foul play, in defiance to the politically correct narrative being pushed by the media).  Now that there has been a second flight that suddenly vanished, similar in circumstances, and similar in the membership to Islam in regards to the pilots, should we once again say it was a tragic accident?  Or should we come to the same conclusion we came to when the second plane hit the twin towers, and realize it was done on purpose?

I wonder how many passengers on those planes were non-Muslims?  How would the slaughter of those people differ in the mind of the terrorists participating in a suicide-bombing at a school in Israel, or shooting up a mall in the United States, or hijacking planes on 9/11, knowing that the consequences will be death?  The potential final result with the two flights were either to reach a destination so that the planes could be used later as missiles, or a dive into the ocean, both or which could be considered serving Allah, and likely a 72-virgin inspired suicide with the death of infidels on the hands of the perpetrator.

Both flights are believed to have sabotage involved.  Both flights veered off course dramatically.  And in both cases the change of direction enabled the planes to avoid detection, to avoid local military radar, and to avoid being stopped in their endeavor.  And how is it in this day and age we can lose contact, and eyes on, these flights without a little monkey-business being performed somewhere?  And if there was outside help, does that not reveal the potential of purposeful manipulation?  Are those not acts of terrorism?

In both cases it is believed that “deliberate action” may have been involved in the downing of the aircraft.  Yet, there was radio silence.  No calls for help.  No proclamation of emergency protocols.  No distress signal.

Either, neither experienced flyer knew there was a problem, or they caused the problem and wanted it to remain unknown until the task was done.

On top of all of that, experts say that based on data we know, the pilots in both flights had plenty of time to determine there was a problem, and report it.

Who needs a bomb on board a plane when the pilot himself is that bomb?

Both flights had their transponders manually turned off, veered off course, were piloted by experienced pilots that should have had the ability to avoid such disasters.  There were no distress calls, and the pilots were both followers of Muhammad from Indonesia (the country with the highest Muslim population in the world). . . . and we have the audacity to call them accidents?

The Malaysian flight was never found.  The AirAsia flight dove straight into the ocean.  Perhaps the Malaysian flight met the same fate, or it landed somewhere to be used as a missile on a later date, and the AirAsia flight hijacking was simply foiled, like Flight United 93 that wound up in a Pennsylvania field.

Accidents?  Or terrorism?

Are we so blinded by propaganda, lies by Muslim leaders, and political correctness perpetrated by the liberal left that we cannot recognize Islamic terrorism when it slaps us in the face?

The GOP is not the Answer

Folks, please understand that GOP leaders in Congress are not GOING to solidify Obama’s amnesty deal, they are ALREADY solidifying it. Therefore, this is not a prediction; it is simply an accurate reporting of what is already taking place. Republican leaders in Washington, D.C., are going to do what they always do: give grassroots conservative Republicans the royal shaft. But since conservatives seem to suffer from Stockholm Syndrome every election year, it is doubtful that anything will change in 2016 either……

Rise of anti Christian violence

There was a surge of anti-Christian violence by Muslims around the world that included the destruction of nearly 200 Christian churches in Nigeria during a short period around October, according to a new report from the GateStone Institute.

The organization’s Raymond Ibrahim, who has documented his discoveries in “Crucified Again: Exposing Islam’s New War in Christians,” released the assessment of the recent surge on Friday.

“In just two months, from August to October, nearly 200 Christian churches were destroyed in Nigeria by the Islamic organization Boko Haram and its Muslim allies, after their capture of towns and villages in the northeastern states of Borno and Adamawa,” the report said. “In the words of Rev. Gideon Obasogie, the director of Catholic Social Communication of Maiduguri Diocese in Borno State, ‘the group’s seizure of territory in both states has seen 185 churches torched and over 190,000 people displaced by [Boko Haram.]”

Ibrahim noted that, “Also in October, the Center for the Studies of Global Christianity in the United States concluded that, ‘About 100,000 Christians die every year because of their religious beliefs, that is to say one every five minutes. In addition, in many countries, many other religious minorities suffer violence and persecution. In countries such as Iraq, Syria, Nigeria, Cameroon, Sudan, Pakistan, Somalia and Egypt the Christian elderly, women, men and their children live in conditions of total insecurity. They are driven from their homes; put in prison for blasphemy, and brutally killed during liturgical celebrations, churches are burned. Girls are kidnapped and forced to marry.’”

Among the other incidents of Muslim violence against Christians during that October period that were uncovered by Ibrahim include:

A report from Arabic media described how a “homemade bomb” exploded next to the Evangelical Church of God in Minya in upper Egypt. The report said there were no casualties.

And in Germany, a “Coptic Christian church in the European nation was attacked and torched.” According to the report, ‘The mayor of Berlin condemned attacking and burning St. Athanasius and St. Shenouda Coptic Orthodox Church in Berlin by extremists…”

Then in Iraq, there were bombings that “hit and devastated the Church of the Resurrection near the town of Qaraqosh. The Christian place of worship was being used as a base for jihadis, who had broken off the cross from the building’s roof.”

In the Philippines, “A grenade attack on a church during worship service left two Christians – Felomina Ferolin, a 54-year-old nurse, and teacher Gina Cabilona, 39 – dead, and three others injured.” According to the assembled information, “Two men on a motorbike fired a grenade launcher at the door of the United Church of Christ before fleeing.”

And, according to Ibrahim’s report, in the Sudan, the “air force dropped four bombs on an Episcopal Church … in the Nuba Mountains.” A pastor reported the whole property was decimated.

The attacks sometimes took the form of court rulings, Ibrahim reported.

He said in Iran, three Christians were sentenced to six years in prison for being involved in house churches. Jason Demars, of Present Truth Ministries, said in the report that Iranian officials want to “silence them – then want to move them away to a place that is tough to get to, for their family to get to.”

And in Kazakhstan, two Christian men, Vyacheslav Cherkasov and Zhasulan Alzhanov, were given prison terms for distributing Christian literature after authorities claimed one of the books incited religious hatred.

The book was “Jesus: More than a Prophet,” which is a collection of testimonies of those who fled Islam for Christianity.

Ibrahim reports that in Lebanon, a Christian convert from Islam was forced into hiding because his father and brothers were looking for him to “cut my throat.”

The Gatestone report said in Malaysia, a Muslim leader was calling on people to find Bibles and burn them.

And in Pakistan, a court upheld the death penalty for Asia Bibi, a Christian mother who was accused of blasphemy.

In Sudan, a Muslim convert to Christianity escaped an attack on his life when a gunman broke into his home and opened fire. And in Uzbekistan, a Christian man was fined 50 times the nation’s minimum monthly wage for having “religious literature.”

Ibrahim writes in his report, the compilation isn’t meant to be exhaustive.

“While not all, or even most, Muslims are involved, persecution of Christians is expanding. ‘Muslim Persecution of Christians’ was developed to collate some — by no means all — of the instances of persecution that surface each month. It documents what the mainstream media often fails to report. It posits that such persecution is not random but systematic, and takes place in all languages, ethnicities and locations,” he explained.

Christians Now Outnumber Communists in China

Though the Chinese Communist Party is the largest explicitly atheist organization in the world, with 85 million official members, it is now overshadowed by an estimated 100 million Christians in China. It is no wonder Beijing is nervous and authorities are cracking down on Christian groups.

Christianity is growing so fast in China that some predict that it will be the most Christian nation in the world in only another 15 years. By far, the greatest growth is coming outside the official state-sanctioned churches, which are rightly considered subservient to the Communist Party. Numbers are increasing, rather, in unofficial Protestant “house churches” and in the underground Catholic church.

Netanyahu disqualified for party primary… Israel police reveal huge political corruption

Shai Galili, Likud’s comptroller, disqualified Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from running for the party leadership in the December 31 primary, a move that Netanyahu disputes and is likely to appeal.

Galili says that Netanyahu must answer claims that he improperly used party resources in his leadership primary run.

Israel’s police said Wednesday they are investigating dozens of public figures and politicians in a major corruption case that could impact upcoming elections.

Death toll rises to 126 in Taliban-led attack on Pakistan school

Dec. 16, 2014: Pakistani rescue workers take out students from an ambulance who injured in the shootout at a school under attack by Taliban gunmen, upon arrival at a local hospital in Peshawar, Pakistan. (AP)

The death toll in the Taliban-led attack on a Pakistan military-run school has risen to 126, a Pakistani official says.

Pervez Khattak, the chief minister of the province where the attack is underway, said scores of those killed in the Tuesday attack were mostly “children” but hospital officials earlier said at least one of the fatalities was a teacher and one security official were also among the dead.

Khattak says the fighting is still unfolding at the school.

The attack began in the morning as the gunmen shot at random students in grades 1-10. Army commandos quickly were on the scene and exchanged fire with the gunmen, officer Javed Khan said.

Outside the school, shooting was initially heard along with one loud bang of unknown origin. Details were sketchy in the unfolding situation and it was unclear what was going on inside and if there were any hostages among the students.

Pakistani television showed soldiers surrounding the area and pushing people back.

Jamil Shah, a spokesman for Lady Reading Hospital said at least one paramilitary solider was killed in the attack. It was not clear whether the soldier was already on the scene when the violence began or was part of the troops who arrived later.

The Pakistani military said in a statement that a rescue operation was underway and that most of the students and the staff had been evacuated. The school is located on the edge of a military cantonment in Peshawar, but the bulk of the students are civilian.

Later, one of the wounded students, Abdullah Jamal, said that he was with a group of 8th, 9th and 10th graders who were getting first-aid instructions and training with a team of Pakistani army medics when the violence began for real.

When the shooting started, Jamal, who was shot in the leg, said nobody knew what was going on in the first few seconds.

“Then I saw children falling down who were crying and screaming. I also fell down. I learned later that I have got a bullet,” he said, speaking from his hospital bed.

“All the children had bullet wounds. All the children were bleeding,” Jamal added.

Taliban spokesman Mohammed Khurasani claimed responsibility for the attack in a phone call with the media. The attack was revenge for the killings of Taliban members at the hands of Pakistani authorities.
